EDLINGER, Thomas (III) Born 1662 Augsburg Germany, d. 1729 Prague Czech Republic. Son and pupil of Thomas Edlinger (II), above. Worked in Augsburg until 1691. Active in Prague from 1692 when he was granted the Freedom of the City. Most prolific maker of violins of this family. Fine work on a more recognisably Stainer model than his father.
