Seine Zeit wird in die Jahre 1630—1666 gesetzt, Vidal meint noch 1670, und erwähnt, dass dieser (mit den Tyroler Albanis nicht in Beziehung stehende) Geigenmacher noch einen Sohn, der um 1720 gewirkt habe, dessen Vorname aber noch nicht feststeht, gehabt haben soll (Vielleicht Nicolaus oder Michael?). Grillet setzt ihn von 1650—1680, lobt seine Arbeit und sagt, dass man ihn für einen Schüler Nicolo Amati's halte. Übrigens soll ein Gio. Paolo Albani 1723 in Boren gelebt haben.
