AGOSTINELLI, Luigi Born 1891 Gubbio, d. after 1955 Milan Italy. Professional musician. Interned during the Second World War in Kenya where he made instruments for the orchestra at the camp. Returned to Italy 1944 and settled at Torre Pellice, Turin as a professional luthier, moving to Milan in 1953. Decent work along the lines of various classical makers. 14 violins, three violas, and two cellos completed. Signed internally: ‘Aelle’.
