Handcrafted instruments, made in Maine & professional restoration services.
I am a one-person shop in York County, Maine. I make violin-family instruments, including early and folk variations. My initial training was in the Mittenwald tradition, and I assisted Karl Roy in writing his landmark book 'The Violin: Its History and Making'. I also offer comprehensive professional restoration services. Since 2004, I have been a participant in the Oberlin Restoration Workshop, where I have had the privilege to work alongside, and observe the methods of some of the best restorers in the world.
