Anton (II) WILFER

Anton (II) Born 1901 Luby (Schönbach) Czech Republic, died 1976 Montreal Canada. Trained in Luby and from 1946 in Mittenwald. Established as Anton Wilfer Co. Ltd. in Saint Catherine Street, Montreal with sons-in-law Alois Fogl and Ewald Fuchs. Moved to 2002 Mackay Street 1956. The business continued after his death under Fogl and Fuchs until 1996. Credited with 75 violins, 15 violas, 10 cellos, and three double basses. High class work.
