VINES, Marchio Born circa. 1650, d. after 1696 Venice Italy. Son of a lute maker, also Marchio Vines. Recorded as a lute and violin maker. Registered with the Venetian luthiers corporation 1690. Established in the parish of San Moisè. An archlute in the Musée National de la Renaissance, Ecouen, Val d’Oise, France. No violins presently known. [Pio]
