URY, Georges Eugène Born 1821, died 1900 Mirecourt France. Son and pupil of Claude Eury, above. Violin and bow maker. Active in Paris c.1840-1850, possibly as an employee of J. B. Vuillaume. Returned to Mirecourt, making bows in the Pajeot style, with strong heads and frogs with metal underslide. Round snakewood and pernambuco sticks. Seems to have concentrated on violin making after c.1860. Branded: EULRY [Millant/Raffin]
