TIPPLE, Robert B. (II) Born 1913 Bloomington, Illinois, died 1985 Mt Vernon, Illinois USA. Violinist and violin maker. Son and pupil of Robert Tipple (I), below, whom he assisted in 1930s and 40s. Established independently in Kirkwood, Missouri 1969, moving to Mt Vernon 1973. Also worked as a piano tuner and repairer for the Aeolian Piano Co. 1967-1969. One violin completed. [Wenberg]
