SLEATH, Henry Walter Born 1828 Coventry UK, Worked from 1865 Brisbane Australia Emigrated to New Zealand 1862. Purchased land in Brisbane, Australia 1865, searching for gold in Gympie. Failed in this but built the church organ in St John’s church, Brisbane and founded a musical instrument company assisted by his son Alfred Henry Sleath, above.
