SLAVIK, Joseph Born 1880 Austria, Worked circa. 1907-1930 New York USA. Pupil of Johann Schweitzer in Vienna. Worked in Romania, Poland, and Germany before emigrating to the USA 1907. Employed by Carl Fischer, Simpson & Fry, and Ditson & Pitt in New York. Established independently there from 1921. Classical Italian models with brown or red-brown varnish. Small output. Chiefly occupied with repair work.
