SENNEWALD, Carl Born 1888 Aix (Aachen) Germany. Electrical engineer and self-taught violin maker. Subsequently attended the Markneukirchen Violin-Making School, and active in Munich 1905, Rudolstadt 1907, Berlin 1911, and Cologne from 1925. Stradivari and Guarneri copies in various appropriate shades of varnish. Fine and accurate work. Branded internally with maker’s initials. Manuscript labels. Each instrument given an individual name.
