SEELMANN, Paul Born 1853 Dresden Germany, died 1942 Schaffhausen Switzerland. Violinist in orchestras in Russia, Germany, France, and Switzerland. Trained as a luthier with Bovis in Nice and L. Fischesser in Geneva. Established independently in Lugano from 1895 and finally in Schaffhausen. Completed 40 violins, three violas, and four cellos. Good conscientious work.
