RIFE, Robert Dofflow Born 1910 St Louis, Missouri, Worked from 1957 Little Rock, Arkansas USA. Son and pupil of Walton Rife, below. Worked with Rudolph Probst from 1927 and later for John Faccaro. Violinist, pianist, and guitarist. Worked in partnership with his father from 1929. Moved to Little Rock, Arkansas 1957 and established there as Rife & Son. President of the Arkansas Violin Maker’s Association. 46 violins, two violas, and one cello made on Stradivari and Guarneri models. Various varnishes, both oil and spirit.
