RICHTER, Karl Born 1880 Markneukirchen, died 1936 Hanover Germany. Apprenticed to Oscar Prager 1894. Worked in Magdeburg and elsewhere. Established in Hanover from 1909. Appointed maker to the court of Prince Schaumburg-Lippe. Stradivari and Guarneri models. Varnish in appropriate colours. Made an entire quartet from matching bird's-eye maple for the Prince in 1913. Several prizes awarded. Karl Richter / Hof- Hannover / Instrumentenmacher Anno 1920
