Moved to Torrance, California 1950, San Pedro 1963, and, after retirement, to Nevada City, California 1981. Full-time luthier since then. Stradivari models; Tertis viola pattern. 262 violins, three violas, and two cellos completed. Commercial varnishes and own formulas derived from Gemunder. Terpene resin used after 1970. Scroll volutes deeply undercut. About 25 bows made using commercial fittings. Shellac finish. Branded: ‘Rashid’ [Wenberg]
