Mathias (IV) Worked from c.1795. Spent some time working throughout Europe, returning to Mittenwald to establish a partnership with Cantius Hornsteiner who had been active there from 1755. From c.1800 the company Neuner & Hornsteiner has been an important part of the violin making trade. Instruments are generally of very good quality but inconsistent. Some of the best work is attributed to the hand of Anton Seitz. Mathias Neuner Geigenma- / cher in Mittenwald, 1795 Neuner & Hornsteiner / Mittenwald in Baiern 1801.
