MODAUDO, Giuseppe Born 1880 Siracusa, Sicily, d. after 1940 Rome Italy. Worked for the Carabba Brothers in Catania from 1894. Emigrated to the USA 1905. Established in New York and later Chicago. Returned to Rome 1949. Produced over 500 instruments of good trade quality. Cremonese and Brescian models, some with ‘antique’ finish and some inlaid and decorated on the back. G.
