MILLER, Norman Born 1911, d. after 1959 Toowoomba, Queensland Australia. Photographer. Self-taught violin maker from 1956. Nine violins and three violas completed, several on a 1742 Guarneri violin model; later on a personal pattern. Well made using imported tonewood and commercial varnish supplied by Harris. Interior work from native Australian ‘quondong’ wood.
