The first maker in the family. Worked in Bergamo, later in Venice. A tenor-viol was labelled " Franciscus Linarolus Bergomensis Venetii faciebat." Was probably the maker of an "accordo" dated 1514, beautifully made, the back inlaid with tortoiseshell.
