LEWIS, Thomas Worked circa. 1820 Gloucestershire UK. Said to be a cobbler. Good rustic work. Inscribed internally: ‘Made by Thomas Lewis in 1823. Played it in the Chire in 1824. Its a good Fiddle when I plays’. Glue ground thickly applied to the interior and small circular leather patches in the soundpost positions.
