JAMES, Rhys Price Born 1909 Blaengarw, Wales, Worked Bridgend, Wales UK. Ex-miner and serviceman in World War II. Trained as a violin maker at the Remploy Factory, Bridgend in 1946, under G. Schliepps. Eventually became manager of the shop, which produced about 22 student instruments per week. Also made violins in his own right. Exhibited at the Arts and Crafts section of the Royal National Eisteddfod of Wales in Bridgend 1948. Guarneri and Stradivari models.
