HAXTON, George Born 1878 Kingskettle, Fifeshire, died 1950 Bishopbriggs, Glasgow, Scotland UK. Self-taught maker active from 1907. Established in Glasgow from 1910. His career was interrupted by military service 1914-1918, but resumed in Glasgow at 15 Roy Street. Over 70 instruments completed on Stradivari and mostly Guarneri models.
