HAKKERT, Jacob (Jacques) Wolfgang Born 1891, d. after 1918 Rotterdam Netherlands. Son of Philipp Hakkert, below. Trained in Mirecourt with Didier. Worked in Dusseldorf for L. Otto, and Cologne for J. Lülsdorf, then briefly in London and Paris before establishing himself in Rotterdam 1918. Appointed luthier to the Amsterdam Conservatoire 1913. Classical models with slightly coarse finish, but fine materials. Jacques W. Hakkert / me fecit Rotterdam Anno 19.. Jacques W.
