By John Dilworth

FLENDY, Thomas Worked circa. 1820-1830 London UK. Little known maker working at 19 Princes Street; a street which contained several violin makers in the 19th century. Flendy would have been a neighbour of Thomas Tubbs and George Corsby, and may have been connected with John Morrison and Thomas Kennedy who left Princes Street in 1813 and 1819 respectively. Inscribed on back interior: ‘Made by Thomas Flendy 19 Princes St. Westminster’
