DEULIN, Joseph D. Born 1888 Madison, Virginia, died 1967 Detroit USA. Pupil of A. Aylor. Moved from Madison to Washington D.C. 1907, working as violinist and violin repairer. From there to Toledo, Ohio 1912, working for Alton Saunders, before settling in Detroit, Michigan 1914, at the invitation of the conductor of the Palace Theatre Orchestra. Opened a shop at 11 Library Avenue, later moving to Broadway Market, where the majority of his large production of around 400 instruments was made. Highly respected maker and expert repairer.
