DELUNET, Auguste Léon Born 1867 Mirecourt France, died 1939 London UK. Pupil and assistant to his father until 1884, when he moved to London to join W. E. Hill and Sons. Employed there for 33 years as restorer and maker. Joined R. S. Williams & Co. in Toronto 1921. Formed Drouin & Delunet in New York 1921-1928. Returned to England and settled in Norwood, south London 1936. Very exalted reputation as restorer and leader of Hill’s workshops, leaving time to make only a very few instruments of his own.
