CUISSET, Armand Born 1892 Verviers Belgium. Studied the violin at Brussels Conservatoire. Subsequently trained as a maker in several Belgian and German workshops. Established own business in Verviers 1919. Later worked in Cannes as first violin in Monte Carlo Orchestra c.1926-1930 and ultimately settled in Brussels. Instruments modelled after Stradivari, Guarneri, Pressenda, and Guadagnini with appropriately shaded varnish. Branded internally: 'A. Cuisset à Verviers’ Armand Cuisset / Luthier expert à Verviers / anno 1925
