By Cecie Stainer

A maker in Genoa about 1750-80. His instruments are fairly well made, he used yellow varnish. A violin, which has since been carefully enlarged, was on a small model, very much arched, and it was labelled: " Paulus Castello, Genuae, anno 1774."
