BOVIS, Charles Born 1909 Nice France. Son of François Bovis, above. François died when Charles was five years old, and his apprenticeship was spent in Mirecourt at the shop of René Jacquemin. Later worked for Caressa in Paris before returning to Nice to take over the family business. Fine work on classical models, but chiefly employed in repair and restoration work.
