Established own workshop in St. Louis 1889, moving to New Orleans 1896. Assisted by his sons there. Stradivari or Amati model. Shaded red-yellow varnish. Conscientious work. Made a copy of the Stradivari ‘Emperor’ violin for Jan Kubelik. H. Bentin / New Orleans. F.A. 1920
